A Pot of Spring: Seasonal Spring Rice

Every spoonful brings the gentle warmth and aroma of spring, making it a truly comforting and satisfying meal.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Cured Meat | Spring Bamboo Shoots | Fava Beans | Morel Mushrooms | Rice | Cumin

INSTRUCTIONS:

 1. Blanch the fava beans, cured meat, and bamboo shoots in boiling water; drain and set aside.

 2. Heat oil in a pan, sauté the cured meat until it releases its fat. Add bamboo shoots and morel mushrooms, stir until fragrant, then remove from the pan.

 3. In a pot, combine rice and water in a 1:1 ratio. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low. Simmer until the water is no longer visible. Continue to cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

 4. Add the cooked vegetables and meat on top, cover, and steam for another 5 minutes.
